Agile Meetup Vienna

2 min read

Yesterday I have been to the Agile Meetup Vienna and I made huge learnings.

It was the second time I got in touch with the “Business Value Proposition” and I decided now to learn more about it.

Since my goals are changing very quickly at this moment in time, I also need to keep up my knowledge in actually doing.

So I will start with learning:

  • Business Value Proposition
  • Business Model Canvas

To come back to yesterday, I met this amazing person names Oliver Perner, I had good conversation with him about evaluating businesses and how to actually start joining this coaching scene. It’s not the first time I was curios about it, the last time I was was around 2021 after I had lessons to Agile Leadership. I think “Agility” is more than just a framework and I also think it’s more based on the normal way of learning. The way of failing and restarting. So my Idea is now to learn more concepts about it. One important Tool in my new Toolbox is Event Modeling to actually create a valuable documentation about a software.

But this made me also think, can I apply Event Modeling in all kind of fields?

I think yes, but as I also learned a Model is only useful within its Domain and there are other Models which might be better. So here I am now. Learning yesterday about Models I need in my Toolbox to actually bring value towards a successfull company.

Yesterday we also talked about the three steps of how to describe a Companies problem. I got immediatly the reference to Event Modeling where you describe your system as “Commands, Events, Queries”
